She came to me in Oct., which is breast cancer month. These are some flowers James gave me for doing a Breast Cancer walk.

I went to Lyman Orchards with Niki Rittenhouse.

We spent the day in the Beautiful New england Countryside. Gotta love Fall in Connecticut.

I went to Old Sturbrudge Village with Niki Rittenhouse.

IWent to visit Meredith Simpson for a special occasion!!

After the trip back to NC from DC, I went Trick or Treating with Meredith's kids. I didn't have to dress up to blend in here!

I made one last stop with the Simpsons. Grayson had a blast with me at the zoo.

After a long night at the ball, I traveled with Meredith and Neal to the Marine Corps Marathon. We saw some of the DC sights too! Here I am at the Holocaust Museum.

Before he ran the marathon route, Neal had to walk it! So, Meredith and I tagged along. As you can see, the scenery was great!

Finally, the finish line! We are all set for the morning run. Thank goodness for my shell, because it was awfully cold!

My alarm went off super early to make it to the start line. Meredith and I got a great spot to view the beginning of the race.

And they're off! Meredith and I are equally slow! We decided that they were more into spectator sports.

I helped Meredith cheer for her DH along the route. Here he comes!

After the race, I met Brianne Sherwood and Meagan Vargas.

I attended the United States Marine Corps Ball with Meredith and her DH, Neal. The Ball celebrates the birthday of the Marine Corps. It is the most formal event for the Marines each year. Meredith and her DH stayed at a B&B before the ball. I especially liked the jacuzzi tub and HUGE bed!

I arrived safely at the Ball. There wasn't a seat saved for me, so I had to share with Meredith.

The ceremony starts when the USMC band walks in. I had to hide under the napkin because it was so loud!

I enjoyed the USMC birthday cake. It is tradition that the oldest Marine present cut and serve a piece of cake to the youngest Marine present. It signifies the passing of tradition to the future of the Marine Corps.

I got to visit with Amanda Atchley!!

Amanda was thrilled about going to the State Fair!! Maybe she ate too much!

I went at the State Fair (first with Amanda's DH before we went in, then playing games, then going through the candy warehouse, then with the prize I won at the squirt game and then having yummy funnel cake)

I thought I would cath up on what you SSers are doing while I am traveling all over.

I went to visit the campus of NC State (where Amanda's DH goes to school).
I am sitting in a parabola (there are two far apart from each other) and you whisper on one end and hear it loud and clear on the other. Something about the way the thing is shaped sound travels to a focal point on the other side.
